Below we listed the mostly common issues met during use the L57 voice recorder

1) How to charging the Voice Recorder L57

A: use the come together MicroUSB cable connect to computer charging your L57, or you could also charge it by your android phone cable and adapter

 

  • How to see the battery information?

 

A: When open the L57, you could see the BATTERY ICON at the right upper corner; If not, please check, what your screen displayed, such as displayed “Not Record”, at this status you cannot see the battery information.

 

If the screen display only “Not Record”: Don’t worry, press REC, recording a file, and then , you will see the battery ICON

If the screen display only “Not Music”, Don’t worry, copy some music into your voice recorder, and then it will be OK.

 

  • Failed to connect to computer

 

A: OK, usually this problems happens for many electronics items for many reasons. Like we use the USB flash drives or connect our phone to computer, it sometimes will also meet this problem; We could do simple by following:

 

Change a new cable ( it could solve this problems by mostly case)

 

Plug into a new socket or by another computer, because sometimes by computer system reason, it occasionally failed to connect

2. The Playback voice is too low

A: The volume could be adjustable by right side button “+” “-”; the volume span between 0-32; Please be sure do not plug earphone into earphone jack, so you could hear loud music directly by built-in speaker

 

We tested the default voice volume is big enough for a quite office play.

3. The recording cannot playback on computer?

A: for windows10 and MAC, Chrome  user, sometimes will meet this problems, we suggest your download the free VLC Media Player, which works pretty good, and it is free

4. How to play the music stored on the voice recorder?

A: in default, when you switch on the recorder, it reads the recordings on the voice recorder

Press and Hold STOP button, it will switch between music and recordings

5. How to delete files on the L57 voice recorder?

A: Delete Single File

Long press M (Menu) -> select delete file -> select the file you want to delete, press M (menu), confirm your selection

And then select YES, press M (menu), the file will be deleted

Delete All Recordings

Long press M (Menu) -> select delete all -> press M (menu), confirm your selection -> select Yes, press M (Menu), all recordings will be deleted

Screen will show, deleting… , No file, and then stop at Not Record

And this moment your voice recorder don’t have any recordings

You could start a new recordings by press REC


6. The recordings was broken, and it is always shows format error

A: Be sure do as following,

Keep your each recordings at least 10seconds or longer

Do not change the file name extension

On some computer, their default music player may not support the .wav format file

7. No Recordings

 

If there is no recordings, or you have deleted all recordings in your voice recorder, when you open your voice recorder, you will see “ no recordings” or “NOT RECORD” on the screen. Don’t worry, you could just go ahead to press REC or M (menu) or STOP to switch to Music folder as your wish

8. Format Error

 

Format Error, this usually happens from 2 aspect:

  1. During recording, directly push down the POWER BUTTON to OFF position, that will cause file damage, before switch off your voice recorder, you need to press STOP save the recordings first
  2. Computer do not support the .wav file. The recordings were saved as .wav format. For WINDOWS 10 or MAC user may encounter with this issue. Don’t worry

9. How to connect to computer

Use the attached cable connect to your computer, or your android phone cable

If you failed connect it to your computer, you could contact us, support@evistr.com we will help you solve it, or you could do some trouble shooting, according our next chapter said

Or you could go to the simple way, just change a new socket or new cable. Because this issue usually happens like you failed connect your flash drive to your computer, they are the same issues


10. Cannot find my recordings in the recorder

This mainly because when you open the voice recorder, it reads the MUSIC folder, you could long press STOP switch back to music folder

Or you could connect it to your computer to check whether there is recordings in your recorder

11. How to open voice activated function

Go to system setting, find record setting, enter it , select AVR mode, open AVR mode, and press M confirm it.

Now press REC, you will see VOR on the screen, it means you have successfully set voice activated recording functio

12. Press REC, it not recording

First check, the recording light blink or not

Second, can you see VOR on the screen

If so, it means you have open the voice activated recording function, during this setting, it will only records when high enough decibels sound detected, you could go to record setting, find AVR sensitivity, and adjust it. It helps

But we suggest you could close the AVR mode, if you do not want this function

Third, check whether the space is full or not, you could connect to your computer, and find the removable drive of L57 and check the free space

 

13. Why it is only playing 16 seconds each recordings / music

This is because you enter Intro playback mode, it will playback 16 seconds of each file

At the status of playback, you could press M (menu), find Repeat, enter it

Select Repeat All or other mode, press M (menu), confirm your setting

NOTE: it must during playing, press M (MENU), then you could enter playback settin

14. Why it playback in random

Same way to solve this issues as issue 13

15. How to use the A-B repeat function

 During playback, long press M, you will see A on the screen, and B is blink, it selected the start point

Long press M again, select point B

Now it will playback between Point A to B

16. The recording is noise

Don’t recording near computer, electric fans, air conditioner, sound bar that will easily cause noise, the recorder will pickup this statics noise

17.It suddenly shows delete file

At the status of stop recording or playing, when you long press M (menu), it will enter delete mode. So when you see this information, you should be mistakenly enter delete mode, press FF/REW to select exit, or don’t do any operation, it will return back to normal screen. If you selected YES, and press M, all your files will be deleted! Be ware of this

18. Screen shows NOT RECORD! I could do nothing

When you see this, it is because you have deleted all recordings in your recorder. So it will shows NOT RECORD! At this moment, you just need to press REC, to record a new recording, that will be OK, at this status, many buttons will not work, it is normal, because no file.

19.I Cannot Shut Off My Voice Recorder
When the recorder is charging, or connected to computer, even when the POWER BUTTON ON/OFF was at OFF position, it will still be ON, and you cannot shut off the voice recorder at this status (because the voice recorder directly get power from charging socket or computer)

20.Space is full
When space is full, you could connect to your computer, and copy out your recordings, and save it to your computer, and then delete all the recordings in your voice recorder.

 

The voice recorder has a limited storage at 8GB, so after a while of using, it may be full of storage, you need to back up it on your computer
